Our Office
The office here at White Knoll Dentistry is unlike that of many other Lexington dentists. We know that dental visits are intimidating for some guests, which is why we use modern décor, wood flooring and televisions in our waiting room and treatment rooms as a welcome change to a traditional office ambiance.
Dentistry for the Entire Family
Many of our families find it convenient to schedule the whole family on the same day. For the convenience of our youngest guests, we also provide a special children’s waiting area complete with seating, colorful décor, games and activity toys. You may even find the parents there too playing on one of our IPADS! Furthermore, our treatment rooms are designed to help patients relax and easily pass time while watching television. You can choose from one of our DVD’s, Hulu, or bring your own movie.
We know that your time is valuable, which is why we go out of our way to make your office experience faster and more pleasant. You can easily print and complete patient information forms from our website, or you may complete them in-office with the assistance of one of our staff members.
We strive to remain on schedule. We do not “overbook,” so that we have time to give you the quality care and attention that you deserve. We do not want you to feel rushed and will take time to answer your questions and explain treatment until you feel comfortable. We also believe it is important that you see the same familiar faces each time you come to our office and hope that you will feel like you are visiting friends rather than just going to the dentist. We look forward to meeting you and making you part of our dental family!
Adult's First Visit
At your first visit, you will have a consult with Dr. Backman or Dr. Pennella. They will discuss any concerns or questions that you may have. You will have a comprehensive exam, x-rays, and periodontal exam (exam of your gums). Depending on your needs, you may or may not have your teeth cleaned on this first visit. Please note that this first visit may last from 60 – 90 minutes. We welcome any questions that you may have, and are always available to listen to your concerns..
Child's First Visit
The American Pediatric Dentist Association (ADPA) recommends that children have their first dental visit by their first birthday. At White Knoll Dentistry, we know that it is very important that children have a positive experience at a young age. Our team is trained to work with children and guide them through a fun first visit. Our schedule allows enough time to work with your child if he or she is nervous or anxious. We will take the time to teach them about oral hygiene, so that they will have a healthy smile for life!
